I am 智子 but you can call me Sophie, my English name. I established Creative Journey Japan with the hope of sharing the culture and history of my homeland, Japan.
I lived in London for ten years, during which time I discovered the wonders of living in a foreign country. When I returned to Japan I decided to get my tour guide certificate from the Ministry of Tourism and spent three years working at one of Japan’s leading coach tour companies.
I have often been asked about the best way to get around Japan and what to see. Some people want the freedom to travel solo without joining a tour and others want to tap into the local knowledge that a native guide can provide.
Creative Journey offers a range of services from creating an itinerary for the independent traveler to offering a personal guided tour that can be tailored to your particular wishes.
